Dress Code – Our Uniform

Barney Ford Elementary has a dress code because it makes our school look and feel like a team. We also have a dress code because it allows students and teachers to focus on learning instead of distractions that can come with clothing.

Ford students are expected to be in uniform every day. It is the parental responsibility to ensure that students follow dress code. If a student is not in uniform, we will contact the parent to bring a uniform from home or students will wear a loaner school uniform if available.

• Shirts: polo shirts light blue or navy blue. Shirts may be short-sleeved or long-sleeved
• All shirts must be tucked in
• Pants, shorts, skirts, jumpers or skorts: khaki, navy blue
• Shoes: all-black, black with white, or mostly black closed-toe
• Sweaters or sweatshirts: light blue, navy, no hood
• Pants must be pulled up over buttocks
• Socks or tights must be white or black
• Belts must be plain tan, black, or navy
