Barney Ford Elementary is a thriving neighborhood school in Montbello where students always come first. Our decisions reflect an equity-mindset. We serve students aged 3 years old through 5th grade. Ford teachers and staff are committed to ensuring students are heard, seen, valued, and celebrated in our school community. We support students in achieving grade level standards, and provide mental health and social-emotional supports to ensure student success.

VEX Robotics is a competition where student teams design, build, and program robots, demonstrating STEM skills through problem-solving.
Barney Ford students enjoy 4 field trips each year, exploring real-world environments that connect classroom learning with hands-on experiences.
Enrollment is open for children turning 3 or 4 by Oct 1. Our program nurtures learning through play, family involvement, and kindergarten readiness.
We value home language skills to keep students connected to family, culture, and community, supporting growth in native proficiency and honoring it with the Seal of Biliteracy.
